What a Difference a Year Makes - The Buying/Selling Process!

Buying or selling a home is one of the biggest decisions you will make in your life. No matter if it's your first purchase/sale or one of many, the process is never exactly the same. The year 2020 epitomizes the saying- "What a difference a year makes!"

Even with a number of purchases or sales under your belt, buying or selling a home this year will be a dramatically different process than your first or even your most recent purchase or sale. We've gone from everything being done in person to nothing being done in person, from writing checks to wiring funds, from in-person showings to virtual showings. Settlements with both buyers and sellers present are a thing of the past. Now, it's split settlements and everything from a settlement attorney on a monitor in a conference room to signing from the safety of your car at a bank drive-through window.

It's a different world we're in right now. Keeping in mind that no two purchases/sales are the same, along with the current environment, make sure you are prepared to start the process. Buying a home should be exciting, so don't let unknown variables take away from it!
